Automation QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain test automation for both desktop and mobile platforms, focusing on essential user flows.

• Embed tests within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring they are both efficient and dependable.

• Analyze failures and resolve unstable tests.

• Oversee test data management and environmental setups.

• Provide detailed, reproducible bug reports and validate fixes.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to enhance testability and define acceptance criteria.

• Conduct hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing for new features.

• Determine the appropriate use of manual versus automated testing based on risk assessment.

• Uphold regression testing suites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in QA automation.

• Practical experience in manual and exploratory testing.

• Proficient programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Experience executing tests within CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.

• Hands-on familiarity with Playwright for desktop or web applications.

• Practical experience with WebdriverIO and Appium for mobile testing.

• Familiarity with testing Electron and/or React Native applications.

• Experience testing on actual iOS and Android devices.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools in QA and critically assessing their outputs.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Capability to report clear, reproducible bugs and confirm fixes.

• Competence in managing test data and environments.
