Software Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and empower a team of software engineers to create exceptional software solutions.

• Recruit, onboard, and cultivate talent to facilitate team expansion.

• Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Establish, refine, and uphold engineering best practices and development standards.

• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders to define, develop, and launch new and enhanced features.

• Align priorities and manage dependencies with leaders from other scrum teams.

• Drive successful delivery across teams and products.

• Support the career advancement and performance of team members through feedback, mentoring, and development planning.

• Provide technical direction through architecture discussions, design reviews, and code evaluations.

• Assist in balancing speed, quality, scalability, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in people management or software development leadership.

• More than 5 years of experience working on a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform or similar web-based business.

• Proven track record in leading engineering teams and delivering scalable software solutions.

• Language-agnostic programming skills.

• Familiarity with Python and Node.js.

• Experience in leading the development and operation of microservice-based applications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.

• A passion for developing engineers, building cohesive teams, and promoting engineering excellence.
