This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Create impactful solutions as a Software Development Lead at RevStar.
• Serve as both a player-coach and a technical standard bearer within our Product Development team.
• Enhance the quality of deliverables across all teams by actively contributing, enforcing standards, providing coaching, and facilitating enablement.
• Develop and uphold coding, architectural, and delivery standards.
• Manage a Center of Excellence focused on cloud-native product development.
• Lead standards committees, conduct internal training sessions, oversee leadership labs, and facilitate technical reviews.
• Generate reusable accelerators, boilerplate code, and reference architectures.
• Suggest and implement a system to maintain consistency, quality, and scalability across all client solutions.
• Supervise the integration of AI to enhance product development and ensure client satisfaction.
• Act as a hands-on technical leader, directly engaging in establishing architectural standards, performing code reviews, and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Design and implement a comprehensive developer training curriculum and lead Companywide Leadership Labs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong practical knowledge in:
• - ReactJS (modern patterns, state management, performance)
• - NodeJS (APIs, services, asynchronous systems)
• Extensive experience in building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid understanding of:
• - REST and event-driven architectures
• - CI/CD pipelines
• - Testing strategies and observability
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical standards or architectural decisions across multiple teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to influence without formal authority and lead through expertise.
• AWS certifications (Developer, Solutions Architect, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience working in consulting or agency settings.
• Familiarity with:
• - Serverless architectures
• - Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform)
• - Distributed systems and scalability patterns
• Background in creating internal frameworks, accelerators, or engineering playbooks.
