This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +26 more states.
• Define and lead the automation of AI-enabled DevSecOps, encompassing fully automated CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure delivery utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Spearhead AI-driven initiatives in quality engineering, observability, monitoring, and AI-assisted operations.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure engineering excellence, governance, and quality standards across various teams.
• Define, design, and execute complex features with a focus on architecture, quality, usability, performance, and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to address intricate cross-functional challenges and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Work alongside development teams, architects, business partners, and customers to convert requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage in live site operations, incident response, production support, and enhance service reliability.
• Act as a key engineering and implementation partner while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
• Oversee code reviews to ensure compliance with standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.
• Provide technical oversight for vendors, including code review and approval processes.
• Track KPIs and evaluate delivery metrics to suggest enhancements.
• Train, enforce, and refine governance processes to ensure enterprise and regulatory compliance.
• Complete technical and architectural documentation, including SDLC artifacts and production change logs.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor within teams and the broader engineering community.
• Stay updated on emerging technology trends, best practices, and evolving business needs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Expertise in delivering enterprise-scale systems that address complex business challenges.
• Extensive hands-on technical knowledge in one or more core technologies.
• Possess architectural thinking across various domains.
• Experience in designing and delivering high-performance, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions.
• Proven experience leading the implementation and deployment of complex enterprise systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments on technical trade-offs in alignment with business objectives.
• Capability to enhance technical skills and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Ability to perform sedentary tasks and occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force.
• Competence in keyboarding and clear communication, both in person and via telephone.
• Preferred: experience with cloud-based solutions, Azure DevOps, Azure AI/OpenAI, RAG patterns, prompt engineering, observability, healthcare or regulated environments, Facets, Agile methodologies, API and service-based architectures, and automated testing frameworks.
