Software Development Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement AI/GenAI solutions utilizing Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, RAG, vector search, and agent-based frameworks.

• Integrate AI functionalities into enterprise applications and organizational knowledge bases.

• Define and deliver scalable, high-performance, secure, user-friendly, and maintainable technical solutions.

• Lead feature development and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, business partners, vendors, and customers.

• Establish and enforce best practices for code review, documentation, testing, and CI/CD.

• Embed security, governance, compliance, and regulatory controls within AI and DevOps solutions.

• Oversee vendor-provided solutions, conduct technical reviews, ensure code quality, and give final approvals.

• Monitor project and operational metrics and provide data-driven recommendations.

• Promote engineering excellence through automation, continuous improvement, and quality assurance.

• Ensure the creation and maintenance of technical, architectural, and SDLC documentation.

• Mentor engineers, share knowledge, encourage innovation, and advocate for best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, advancements in AI, and Azure DevOps capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 8 years of experience in software development.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages.

• Proven expertise in delivering enterprise-scale systems.

• Deep hands-on technical knowledge of one or more core technologies.

• Experience in designing and delivering high-performance, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions.

• Experience leading the implementation and deployment of complex enterprise systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

• Ability to make informed technical trade-offs.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and complex delivery environments.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in person and over the phone.
