Software Development Engineer in Test, SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design automation within existing tools and frameworks while enhancing those tools and frameworks as required.

• Conduct both white-box and black-box testing.

• Develop and implement test plans and test cases derived from requirements and user stories that focus on complex data scenarios.

• Recognize current testing deficiencies and process weaknesses, propose, and execute enhancements to elevate product quality.

• Engage in relevant DevOps activities and assist in refining the CI/CD processes for the team.

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and without issues.

• Take part in product demonstrations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in a software development setting.

• Capable of writing automated test scripts and tools.

• Proficient in UI test automation tools (such as Katalon, Cypress, or equivalent) and API testing tools (like soapUI, RestAssured, or similar).

• Experience in performance testing tools (including Jmeter, K6, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with a wide array of test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Rspec, Fitness, TestNG, or similar).

• Skilled in Object-Oriented programming languages (such as Java, C#, C++, or similar).

• Proficient in scripting languages (like JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or similar).

• Experience working with relational databases (such as Oracle, MySQL, or similar).

• Understanding of SDLC methodologies within Agile (Lean, Scrum, XP, or similar).

• Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and practices related to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and SOA best practices.

• Extensive experience with distributed version control systems, particularly Git.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• A collaborative team player who works effectively with both Onshore and Offshore teams.

• Basic knowledge of Docker is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of Linux is a plus.

• Experience with the WebLogic application server is a plus.

• Experience in the Healthcare sector is a plus.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
