Software Development Engineer, Features Engineering Lead

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the technical roadmap for feature data products.

• Set engineering priorities in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Offer architectural guidance for geospatial and vector data-processing systems.

• Stay actively engaged in software development and prototyping.

• Assess and integrate modern open-source technologies.

• Balance delivery priorities alongside team members.

• Oversee and ensure the health and performance of AWS-based systems.

• Work collaboratively across teams to deliver cohesive capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geography, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 8 years of professional experience.

• Background serving as a lead engineer or technical owner for a software platform.

• In-depth understanding of Docker containerization technologies.

• Strong working knowledge of GDAL/OGR, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and spatial data-processing principles.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor fellow engineers without direct managerial authority.

• Familiarity with Agile software engineering methodologies.
