Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and resilient microservices that support capabilities across the platform.

• Ensure the cloud platform is modular, extensible, and accommodates multiple product teams.

• Implement and oversee monitoring and alerting systems utilizing Datadog.

• Promote best practices for logging, tracing, and monitoring throughout the platform services.

• Utilize Terraform and Terragrunt to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure.

• Enhance deployment pipelines for reliability and improved developer efficiency.

• Provide technical leadership in system design, architecture, and best practices for scalable services.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and various teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.

• Encourage cross-team collaboration and seamless integrations.

• Engage in operational reviews, post-mortems, and reliability initiatives.

• Develop follow-up actions for incident resolution.

• Enhance system reliability, scalability, and engineering efficiency through automation and best practices.

• Mitigate technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-ready, cloud-based systems with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C#, Go, or Java.

• Experience with API services, distributed systems, and microservice architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Practical experience in designing for scalability, observability, and reliability.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Docker, and cloud-native application design.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or Terragrunt.

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or Prometheus.

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, communicate clearly, and align diverse stakeholders.

• Understanding of customer needs and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Experience in platform, core, or shared services is highly desired.

• Experience in building foundational services that support multiple product lines and teams is highly desired.
