Software Developer Lead – Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the Payroll development team, ensuring that all committed tasks are delivered on schedule and meet high-quality standards.

• Actively participate as a senior developer in the implementation of complex Payroll and Tax functionalities.

• Guide and elevate engineers through code reviews, providing technical advice and supporting their professional growth.

• Collaborate with the Payroll Product Manager to transform roadmap priorities into well-defined, sequenced engineering tasks.

• Utilize AI-enhanced development tools and agentic workflows in daily engineering activities, promoting team adoption.

• Assess and advocate for innovative AI-powered engineering methodologies and tools.

• Work alongside the Sustainability team to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge regarding new Payroll features and address production issues impacting payroll processing.

• Convey technical trade-offs, risks, and project status to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing full-stack solutions utilizing C#, Angular, and SQL.

• At least 2 years of experience in mentoring, leading, and collaborating on various projects and solutions.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience within HCM software or a related field.

• Practical experience with Git and Azure-based development workflows.

• Strong expertise in full-stack design and development, encompassing database to UI.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience in designing and constructing Web API / REST interfaces.

• A genuine interest in AI-enhanced and agentic software development practices.

• A readiness to adopt and promote AI-assisted development tools as an integral part of the role.

• Ability to operate effectively with support from a dedicated Product Manager while exercising sound engineering judgment.

• Candidates must currently reside in the United States.
