
Software Developer Lead β Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the daily operations of the Payroll development team, ensuring that all committed tasks are delivered on schedule and meet high-quality standards.
β’ Actively participate as a senior developer in the implementation of complex Payroll and Tax functionalities.
β’ Guide and elevate engineers through code reviews, providing technical advice and supporting their professional growth.
β’ Collaborate with the Payroll Product Manager to transform roadmap priorities into well-defined, sequenced engineering tasks.
β’ Utilize AI-enhanced development tools and agentic workflows in daily engineering activities, promoting team adoption.
β’ Assess and advocate for innovative AI-powered engineering methodologies and tools.
β’ Work alongside the Sustainability team to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge regarding new Payroll features and address production issues impacting payroll processing.
β’ Convey technical trade-offs, risks, and project status to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.
β’ Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing full-stack solutions utilizing C#, Angular, and SQL.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in mentoring, leading, and collaborating on various projects and solutions.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience within HCM software or a related field.
β’ Practical experience with Git and Azure-based development workflows.
β’ Strong expertise in full-stack design and development, encompassing database to UI.
β’ Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
β’ Experience in designing and constructing Web API / REST interfaces.
β’ A genuine interest in AI-enhanced and agentic software development practices.
β’ A readiness to adopt and promote AI-assisted development tools as an integral part of the role.
β’ Ability to operate effectively with support from a dedicated Product Manager while exercising sound engineering judgment.
β’ Candidates must currently reside in the United States.
β’ If selected for the position, candidates must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States sufficient to complete an I-9 form.
