This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with internal users and departments to define, develop, and document software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications.
• Create, develop, document, and implement new applications and enhancements in alignment with both business and technical requirements.
• Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to established specifications.
• Modify programming scripts to improve functionality and performance.
• Design, execute, and oversee software performance tests for error correction, improvement, and debugging purposes.
• Produce statistics and prepare reports for management and team members regarding the status of programming projects.
• Educate end users on how to operate new or modified programs.
• Research, design, document, and revise software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
• Engage in on-call support and occasional travel as necessary.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A college diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience.
• At least two years of relevant experience is required.
• Strong preference for experience with C++/Linux/Oracle.
• Required proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Required experience with React.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting, Informatica/Talend, AWS Cloud Development, CDK, Oracle, Telerik, MS SQL, PostgreSQL or other NoSQL database development, and Visual Studio/Team Foundation Studio.
• Experience in interviewing end users regarding functionality, interface, problems, and usability issues.
• Practical experience in developing test cases and test plans.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with cloud-first, API-first, and microservice architecture or strategies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience in building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Excellent understanding of coding standards and best practices.
• Working knowledge or experience with source control tools such as TFS and GitHub.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and HIPAA regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant data privacy practices and laws.
• Ability to engage cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
• On-call availability; some travel may be necessary.
• Remote work is not available to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
