Software Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle of full-stack features, from technical design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

• Develop front-end features utilizing Next.js or React integrated with a NestJS GraphQL layer.

• Create back-end functionalities using .NET / C# alongside NestJS GraphQL.

• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, analysts, and developers to enhance the servicing experience.

• Contribute to decisions regarding architecture, tooling, and best practices.

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.

• Leverage AI tools and agentic development workflows to improve development speed and quality.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Mentor junior engineers, encouraging learning and collaboration.

• Join an on-call rotation as necessary, which may include nights and weekends, to ensure the reliability of production systems and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.

• Practical experience with Next.js or React along with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.

• Proficient in .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.

• Experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS and Amazon EKS / Kubernetes using CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with AI code generation tools like GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar technologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Capability to work effectively in a team environment, manage ambiguity, and empathize with customers.

• A product mindset that emphasizes user behavior, user experience, and business impact.

• Willingness to participate in on-call duties during nights and weekends if required.
