Software Developer I, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement solutions that enhance value and efficiency across systems while reducing technical debt.

• Leverage AI agents and GitHub Copilot to develop .NET solutions based on high-level specifications.

• Work closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to achieve product goals and refine specifications.

• Uphold a "Test First" approach by overseeing AI-generated code to ensure it meets functional, security, and performance standards.

• Keep abreast of technological advancements and product roadmaps to inform development strategies.

• Participate in cross-functional business processes.

• Advocate for best practices, inter-team collaboration, and process consistency.

• Foster a collaborative culture grounded in trust and respect.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a Computer-related field or a comparable business discipline.

• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of experience in Information Technology and solution delivery, or an equivalent mix of education and experience in related fields is essential.

• Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and AI-native coding in VS Code.

• Proficiency in debugging, observability, logging, and production support methodologies.

• Familiarity with API contract testing.

• Expertise in .NET 8+ using C#.

• Knowledge of SQL.

• Proficient in using Git.

• Experience with Unit Testing.

• Understanding of RESTful web services.
