This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services that support the IBS program.
• Create solutions using Java-based technologies and/or Angular front-end frameworks.
• Implement solutions according to functional and technical requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and integrate feedback to enhance code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance challenges.
• Support integration across system components and external interfaces.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, facilitating automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensure applications meet security requirements, including secure coding practices and STIG compliance.
• Engage in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Assist in testing activities, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA, DevSecOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful deployments.
• Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Capability to acquire IAT Level II certification within the first 9 months; CompTIA Security+ CE is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in software development.
• Experience in Java development, such as Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Angular, modern versions, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred: experience supporting USTRANSCOM or DoD transportation/logistics systems.
• Preferred: experience with cloud-based environments, AWS preferred.
• Preferred: familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: experience with microservices architectures.
• Preferred: knowledge of secure coding practices and application security tools.
• Preferred: experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
