Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core web applications that support federal programs.

• Collaborate directly with federal clients to gather requirements, conduct demonstrations, and provide ongoing technical assistance.

• Implement features and integrations utilizing vertical slice architecture and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.

• Assist in the migration of legacy .NET Framework applications to the modern .NET environment.

• Configure and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps tools.

• Engage in code reviews, maintain engineering standards, and mentor colleagues.

• Work with database systems (SQL Server / T-SQL), including making schema changes and utilizing migration tools.

• Assist in front-end development initiatives, including Blazor migration tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and the capability to successfully complete a federal background investigation.

• Bachelor's degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in .NET / SQL Server software development.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting directly with clients and stakeholders.

• Desired Qualifications

• Experience in migrating legacy .NET Framework applications to modern .NET.

• Proficiency in Blazor or modern component-based front-end frameworks.

• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with StructureMap or similar Inversion of Control (IoC) containers.

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar reporting tools.

• Experience in writing automated tests using Playwright.

• Background in UI/UX design.

• Comfort in collaborating with or guiding AI coding agents to accelerate development processes.

• Experience in AI/ML development, especially with Azure AI services or large language model integration.

• Experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
