This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with an R&D team to develop commercial solutions utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Azure Active Directory, Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, SQL Server, and others.
• Perform exploratory testing and fully automate features that are in development.
• Design, create, and sustain automation test frameworks and their supporting infrastructure.
• Automate ADO pipelines, deployments, and various other processes.
• Plan, estimate, and code automation test frameworks and test cases to reduce the need for manual testing.
• Build and enhance automated regression test suites.
• Directly contribute to the product's codebase.
• Assist the team in implementing AI coding strategies to enhance development speed, code quality, test coverage, refactoring, and troubleshooting.
• Engage in an agile SCRUM team to advocate for improved code quality and lower defect rates.
• Take responsibility for and lead the team’s testing and automation objectives.
• Work closely with team members on feature development, exploratory testing, and the creation of automated tests.
• A completed undergraduate degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of experience as an automation developer.
• Some familiarity with exploratory and agile testing methodologies.
• Ability to work directly on features during development to ensure high quality for each feature.
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft operating systems such as Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 or Windows 8/10.
• General knowledge of Windows networking infrastructure and the capability to configure Windows operating systems for network functionality.
• Proficient with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure VMs), including creating virtual machines and installing Microsoft operating systems.
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Server, Office 365 Exchange Online, SharePoint, Office 365 SharePoint Online, IIS, SQL Server, DNS, or OneDrive.
• Comfortable operating in a DevOps environment using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira with full test integration in the pipeline.
• Ability to support the adoption of AI-first software development practices.
• Extensive daily use of AI coding agents and AI-assisted development platforms.
• Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms for automation tasks.
• Experience with C# (preferred) or Java programming languages.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience collaborating with agile development teams.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Beneficial experience with VSTest, NUnit, JUnit, Jasmine, Mocha, Karma, SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Selenium.
• Beneficial experience with Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Beneficial experience utilizing PowerShell.
• Beneficial familiarity with Visual Studio or Eclipse.
• Beneficial knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Beneficial experience with SDLC and OWASP security best practices.
• Beneficial experience in enterprise software development.
• Beneficial experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Angular, or React.
