Network Automation Engineer / Consultant – Automation, SSoT & AI Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Automate networking and security solutions for large enterprise clients.

• Create Infrastructure-as-Code implementations utilizing Ansible, Terraform, and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Establish Single Sources of Truth with NetBox or Nautobot and incorporate them into operational workflows.

• Coordinate automation and AI agents using platforms like n8n.

• Link networking, security, logging, and monitoring systems through APIs and event-driven processes.

• Design automation platforms for intricate infrastructure settings.

• Assess emerging technologies and introduce innovations into production client environments.

• Automate networking and security setups for Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and other systems.

• Construct and improve modern automation platforms.

• Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Create and streamline CI/CD workflows.

• Develop and sustain Single Sources of Truth.

• Integrate APIs, data sources, and infrastructure solutions.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and continually enhance automation solutions.

• Offer technical consulting on network automation, security, and modern infrastructure designs.

• Take on partial or full project ownership if preferred.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in networking, security, automation, or DevOps.

• Networking knowledge at a minimum of CCNA level.

• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, YANG/NETCONF/RESTCONF, Postman/Bruno, and related tools.

• Infrastructure as Code expertise with Ansible, Terraform, or related technologies.

• Strong analytical skills when engaging with AI systems and taking responsibility for results.

• Proficiency in German at least at C1 level.

• Proficiency in English at B1/B2 level.

• Cisco AIBIZ, AITECH, DCAI, or comparable AI training is a plus.

• Experience with n8n or similar automation platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with NetBox, Nautobot, or similar Single Source of Truth/Network Source of Truth platforms is an advantage.

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, Graylog, or QRadar is a plus.

• Experience with NetBox Copilot and AI-assisted infrastructure workflows is a plus.

• Certifications are supported.
