Software Asset Analyst III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead a ServiceNow SAM Pro initiative for one of our prominent clients.

• Take ownership of the program charter, manage stakeholder relationships, ensure publisher compliance, and create a sustainable governance framework.

• Serve as the client-facing program leader throughout all phases, collaborating closely with internal ServiceNow teams.

• Generate assessment reports and set program OKRs along with baseline key results.

• Define a multi-source discovery architecture and supervise the loading of entitlement records for Tier 1 publishers.

• Create the initial Effective License Position (ELP) and initiate reclamation workflows.

• Manage the monthly ELP refresh cycle and disseminate compliance reports.

• Cultivate publisher relationships and lead responses during audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Software Asset Management position.

• At least 2 years of direct experience in delivering or leading a ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation from Phase 0 to the first ELP publication.

• Ability to articulate specific hands-on experience in making decisions regarding discovery architecture, loading entitlements from scratch, configuring Publisher Packs, and producing the initial ELP.

• Proven experience in designing multi-source discovery architecture across at least two endpoint management platforms (e.g., SCCM and Jamf).

• Practical experience loading entitlement records from purchase order data for a minimum of three Tier 1 publishers.

• Demonstrated ability to produce and validate an ELP for Microsoft, as well as at least one of either Oracle or Adobe.

• Experience in integrating SAM Pro with ITSM workflows and executing a reclamation workflow through confirmed uninstallation.

• Comprehensive understanding of licensing models for Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, and Apple VPP.

• Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow SAM Pro, ServiceNow ITSM, Microsoft Intune/SCCM, Jamf Pro, and ServiceNow Integration Hub.
