Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technology initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical assessments, and lead Proof of Concept efforts.

• Design scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Lead the technical design of complex enterprise systems and high-load architectures.

• Define technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with complex technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and assessments of technical solutions.

• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and the long-term evolution of products.

• Support technology transformation and product modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategy.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help shape the engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• 4+ years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural position.

• Strong grasp of modern architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Experience in defining architectural vision and leading strategic technology decisions.

• Proven ability to evaluate technologies and architectural approaches based on business objectives, scalability, TCO, and long-term sustainability.

• Experience in leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Proven track record of driving architectural initiatives across products, platforms, or teams.

• Experience in collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Proficiency in defining architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Experience in designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

• Experience in architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong hands-on background in software development.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Proven experience in end-to-end product and platform delivery.

• Practical expertise across relevant technology domains.

• Experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation is a plus.

• Professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering are a plus.
