Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technology projects.

• Explore emerging technologies, perform technical evaluations, and lead Proof of Concept projects.

• Design scalable architectures that are cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Oversee the technical design of intricate enterprise and high-load systems.

• Specify technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with complex technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and technical solution assessments.

• Contribute to the technical strategy, product roadmaps, and long-term product development.

• Support technology transformation and product modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategy.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help shape the engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience in software development and architecture for products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural position.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, evolving, and scaling complex software products, platforms, or enterprise solutions.

• Strong grasp of contemporary architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proven track record in making strategic technology decisions and establishing a long-term architectural vision.

• Experience in evaluating and selecting technologies based on business objectives, scalability, total cost of ownership, and sustainability.

• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Proven ability to drive architectural initiatives across various products, platforms, or teams.

• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in defining and implementing architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Practical experience in designing cloud-native solutions.

• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Experience in building highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems.

• Practical knowledge of Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-First Design.

• Strong hands-on software engineering background.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Experience in delivering new products or platforms from concept to production.

• Strong practical expertise across the specified cloud, container, programming, frontend, data, messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring technologies.
