Software Architect, AI & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Establish the technical standards and design architecture for chatbot systems as they evolve.

• Oversee the development of the prompt engineering team while ensuring robust architecture.

• Create automation solutions for record disputes, minimizing email/callout, and validating documents.

• Assess emerging AI technologies, such as voicebots and computer-use agents.

• Determine which AI technologies to invest in, develop, and implement into production.

• Collaborate with OpenAI to assess and introduce next-generation voice models and workflow automation.

• Spearhead the development of the next-generation AI system.

• Advance voicebots into stateful, phone-based interactions.

• Empower bots to directly access external systems to efficiently and accurately resolve complex issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in software engineering.

• Preferably experience at an early-stage startup with complete ownership of results.

• Practical expertise in AI technologies.

• Experience in building with new AI models shortly after their release.

• Capability to articulate and assess competing AI architectures or methodologies.

• Proven experience in deploying LLM-based systems into production.

• Skilled in evaluations, handling regression, managing latency, costs, and addressing failures.

• Proficient in TypeScript, including Nest.js and React.

• Experienced with GraphQL.

• Knowledgeable in AWS, including ECS/EKS and Lambda.

• Familiarity with LLM models such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini.

• Must currently reside in an eligible location: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Ontario, Canada.
