Full-Stack AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the AI components for Audrey, encompassing retrieval, generation, models, and logic.

• Develop fast, precise, and dependable retrieval systems for videos, printables, and activities.

• Create and enhance content and data pipelines for videos, printables, guides, and multilingual resources.

• Integrate the AI throughout the backend and frontend product architecture.

• Design the behavior, personality, and teacher-oriented experience of Audrey.

• Lead the launch of Audrey and guide its evolution on a large scale.

• Enhance the quality, speed, and reliability of responses and recommendations.

• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools for building and iterating.

• Collaborate with infrastructure leadership to ensure efficient cloud operation for Audrey.

• Execute evaluation, testing, monitoring, and maintain technical documentation.

• Work alongside engineering and product teams.

• Contribute to the roadmap development, including personalization, multilingual support, and classroom insights.

• Prioritize privacy and safety in development, ensuring compliance with FERPA/COPPA regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience across the entire stack.

• Successfully created and launched at least one production LLM/AI application.

• Extensive experience in building retrieval-augmented (RAG) systems, including embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and re-ranking.

• Proficient with modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor.

• Strong knowledge of Python and solid backend principles, including APIs, databases, and data pipelines.

• Frontend capabilities to work across the entire stack.

• Practical experience in LLM orchestration and prompt engineering, utilizing tools like LangChain or similar, including agent/tool design, system prompts, persona design, and guardrails.

• Robust AWS experience with computing, storage, databases, containers, and monitoring.

• Ability to work remotely with significant overlap across UK and US time zones.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Capacity to take ownership of tasks and drive them forward with minimal supervision.

• Authorized to work in India; visa sponsorship is not offered.

• Bonus: Experience in edtech or early-childhood education; multilingual retrieval; video/audio ML; knowledge of FERPA/COPPA or similar regulations.
