Social Media Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Develop, create, and implement a social media strategy that communicates a cohesive brand voice and positions the company as a leader in the industry.

• Oversee daily operations, including organic and paid social campaigns, media budgets, and relationships with external agencies.

• Act as the community manager for official social media channels, addressing comments and inquiries.

• Train and educate employees to become advocates for the brand on social media.

• Execute editorial calendars and create, manage, and publish digital content.

• Perform social listening and track discussions regarding the company, its brands, competitors, and the industry.

• Share insights gleaned from social media monitoring with relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate across departments to discover company news for social engagement and train internal teams.

• Serve as the social media expert, overseeing B2B social media strategies, tools, trends, and applications.

• Work alongside creative and IT teams to ensure social media tools are up-to-date.

• Identify key performance indicators, establish success metrics, and report on the effectiveness of strategies, campaigns, and channels.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing and social media is preferred.

• Strong and proven knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for brand promotion.

• Demonstrated experience with social media monitoring, listening, and analytics tools.

• Familiarity with creating and executing engaging content tailored for digital platforms.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite is essential.

• A positive attitude, outgoing personality, strong collaboration skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach are essential.

• Ability to manage information from various sources and provide timely, proactive solutions.

• Capacity to uncover news and function as an internal reporter.
