This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the daily implementation and ongoing strategic enhancement of Horizon3’s social media initiatives.
• Provide guidance to Marketing and executive leadership on audience engagement, channel investment, content priorities, and social risk management.
• Own and refine the social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky, and other pertinent platforms.
• Develop and oversee a continuous editorial calendar that includes thought leadership, customer testimonials, research, product narratives, company updates, culture, recruitment, and industry highlights.
• Establish processes for planning, intake, approval, publishing, and reporting.
• Create and publish high-quality social content that translates intricate cybersecurity, product, research, and market themes into compelling narratives.
• Generate campaign concepts and content packages encompassing posts, threads, carousels, short-form videos, event coverage, employee features, and executive promotion.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to uncover stories, ghostwrite or enhance content, and manage the review process until publication.
• Develop and implement social strategies for product launches, press releases, webinars, campaigns, customer narratives, industry updates, and swift-response opportunities.
• Assist in event promotion and live reporting, including speaking engagements, booth activities, networking opportunities, videos, and post-event follow-ups.
• Coordinate social amplification efforts with Product Marketing, PR/Communications, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, executives, and technical specialists.
• Manage and expand the employee advocacy program within Sprout Social Advocacy.
• Create shareable content tailored for employees and executives.
• Collaborate with People, Recruiting, Communications, and leadership teams on employer branding, executive visibility, and announcements.
• Monitor brand and industry dialogues utilizing social publishing and listening tools, including the Sprout inbox and online communities.
• Address routine engagement and escalate sensitive, reputational, or crisis-related matters.
• Ensure brand consistency and verify that public-facing content adheres to naming, messaging, and visual standards.
• Define and uphold a social measurement framework that encompasses reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, advocacy participation, and campaign effectiveness.
• Generate reports that include insights, recommendations, and subsequent actions.
• Experiment with content formats, creative methods, publishing schedules, and channel strategies.
• Conduct competitive and market analyses to identify opportunities, gaps, and emerging discussions.
• Integrate social strategies into launches, events, PR, and campaigns from the outset.
• Proven experience in owning social media strategy and hands-on execution for a B2B, SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity organization.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to simplify technical subjects without compromising substance or credibility.
• Experience in managing social publishing, listening, analytics, and/or employee advocacy platforms.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, including experience in managing calendars, approvals, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach to content decisions and ability to analyze performance metrics and translate them into actionable insights.
• Strong judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and comfort in handling fast-paced or sensitive communications.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering trusted relationships across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, People, and executive teams.
• High-agency, creative, collaborative mindset with a willingness to test, learn, and innovate.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in social media marketing.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity marketing.
• Experience in marketing cybersecurity, offensive security, cloud security, developer tools, or other technical products.
• Familiarity with technical communities, practitioner audiences, Reddit, or other discussion-based platforms.
• Experience in creating or directing short-form video, live event coverage, social graphics, or carousel content.
• Experience supporting executive social media, creator or influencer partnerships, paid social, or analyst and media amplification.
• Experience in scaling employee advocacy or ambassador programs.
• May require up to 20% travel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
