Social Media Manager – Contract, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with brand and creative team members on the development of the social calendar, content planning, and publishing across TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit.

• Spearhead the creative process for content either by guiding others or through direct execution.

• Manage brand voice in comments, direct messages, and community platforms.

• Collaborate with product and customer support to ensure consistent and accurate responses.

• Regularly report on social performance and its connection to broader brand and business objectives.

• Utilize knowledge of trends, culture, and platform-specific nuances across TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit.

• Utilize Asana, Canva, and Hootsuite in daily operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on social media management experience within a consumer brand.

• At least one year of experience managing the day-to-day operations of a brand’s social presence, including calendar management, publishing, and community engagement.

• Proven experience in managing content and communities across Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit.

• Recent portfolio samples from the past 12 months showcasing work on Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit.

• Proficient in crafting captions and short-form copy that aligns with a defined brand voice.

• Portfolio should contain caption examples, not solely visual assets.

• Experience in brand community management, encompassing comments, direct messages, sensitive issue escalation, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Familiarity with Canva or a similar design tool.

• Proficient in Hootsuite or a similar scheduling platform.

• Working knowledge of Asana or a comparable project management tool.

• Ability to establish and uphold a weekly or biweekly reporting schedule using native analytics.

• Availability to start within two weeks.

• Must be able to commit to a 3-month contract at 20 hours per week.
