Social Media Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee Jerry’s official presence on Reddit, managing brand-owned subreddits and engaging organically within automotive, financial, and consumer communities.

• Develop Jerry’s unique Reddit voice and a comprehensive community playbook.

• Produce informative text posts, in-depth guides, and visual analyses concerning car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance strategies.

• Handle Jerry-related reputation management and crisis situations within public threads.

• Provide transparent and helpful responses to posts from frustrated users.

• Monitor Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, search indexability, and citations from large language models (LLMs).

• Deliver Reddit insights, car-owner challenges, and trending topics to Product and Content teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing organic social or community strategies, particularly focused on Reddit.

• Profound understanding of Reddit karma, subreddit dynamics, automoderators, shadowbans, and platform norms.

• Ability to write in a natural style suitable for Reddit users, steering clear of corporate jargon.

• Preferably experienced in consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech, or demonstrated success in growing other social media accounts.

• Knowledge of value-first community marketing and strategies for educational content.

• Familiarity with how Reddit content integrates into Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO.

• Capability to structure posts as enduring search resources.

• Proficient in managing public pushback, skepticism, and challenging inquiries with poise, humor, and honesty.

• Full-time salaried candidates must currently live in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.

• Completion of a Reddit writing exercise limited to 150 words is required.
