This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +31 more states.
• Assist in executing the social media strategy and annual plan for the Communications department.
• Offer project management assistance for various communications initiatives as required.
• Plan and implement ongoing social media projects, campaigns, strategic initiatives, and communication efforts.
• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, managing scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, roles, dependencies, and communication strategies.
• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams, including social media, creators, content, creative, design, video, community, PR, marketing, analytics, and external collaborators.
• Lead project kick-offs, status updates, stakeholder meetings, and retrospectives.
• Create and manage project workflows in Asana while utilizing Google Workspace.
• Monitor deliverables, dependencies, resources, risks, and shifting priorities.
• Identify and address obstacles, resource limitations, and scope modifications; escalate critical issues as necessary.
• Prioritize projects, align resources and timelines, and connect initiatives to organizational objectives.
• Assist in the content and campaign workflows encompassing development, review, approval, and publication processes.
• Generate project documentation, processes, dashboards, and reports.
• Encourage collaboration across different time zones and establish effective communication practices, team norms, and decision-making frameworks.
• Cultivate trusted relationships, influence without direct authority, and promote accountability and shared ownership.
• Facilitate retrospectives and implement process enhancements.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in social media project management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working remotely with a distributed team.
• Proficient in using Asana and the Google suite.
• Strong project management capabilities, including prioritization, organization, planning, time management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Knowledge of various communication styles and cultural differences across multiple time zones.
• Ability to foresee risks, build trust and relationships, influence without authority, and ensure accountability.
• Reliable and adaptable interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience and comfort with ambiguity.
• Current work authorization in the hiring location for non-US applicants.
• Proficiency in languages beyond English is a plus.
• Experience with international organizations, distributed workforces, and non-profit sectors is advantageous.
