Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the social media strategy, overseeing channel development and comprehensive execution.

• Establish channel strategies across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit, and additional platforms, ensuring alignment with pipeline activities.

• Develop YouTube from the ground up, including the format, posting cadence, production methods, merchant education, and product storytelling.

• Foster credible participation on Reddit within Shopify merchant and agency communities.

• Enhance organic visibility in AI search, ensuring CWILL is recognized and recommended by AI assistants.

• Create an AI-driven content engine capable of producing high volumes without the need for increased headcount.

• Monitor reach, engagement, and subsequent pipeline performance.

• Discontinue activities that are underperforming.

• Personally write, film, publish, and engage in comments during the initial phases.

• Assemble the social media team as channels begin to show growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Around 5+ years of experience in social media.

• Proven history of expanding social channels, with demonstrable growth results.

• Direct experience with Reddit, including participation in subreddits, building credibility, and managing content removal.

• Practical experience with YouTube, particularly in building or significantly growing a channel.

• Familiarity with YouTube formats and retention strategies.

• Recent experience as an individual contributor with a readiness to stay hands-on.

• Proficient in using AI tools for content creation.

• Exceptional written English skills and an authentic voice.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations within a startup environment.

• Experience in the Shopify or e-commerce SaaS sector is a plus.

• Comfort on camera or experience directing founders and executives during filming is advantageous.

• Experience collaborating with distributed teams is beneficial.
