Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Blitzed’s social media and community strategy, overseeing its execution.

• Manage social platforms, with an initial focus on X and the Discord community.

• Create and sustain a content calendar that includes memes, creator highlights, player achievements, promotions, game launches, and product announcements.

• Collaborate with the content producer to generate creative assets and repurpose content from streamers.

• Independently craft reactive posts, responses, and straightforward content.

• Establish a consistent and recognizable brand voice.

• Monitor trends while engaging with players, creators, and industry accounts.

• Welcome newcomers to the community and cultivate relationships with regular participants.

• Organize community activities, stream watch-alongs, events, and sanctioned giveaways.

• Ensure that profiles, channels, announcements, and pinned information remain accurate and current.

• Oversee Discord moderation, including bots and permissions management.

• Direct player issues to support and relay recurring feedback to the team.

• Collaborate with operations, creator, and product teams regarding streams, launches, and updates.

• Monitor content performance, meaningful engagement, returning participants, and traffic analytics.

• Experiment with new ideas, learn from outcomes, and develop repeatable processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing social media and communities within the iGaming, crypto, or a closely related gaming sector.

• In-depth knowledge of crypto, casino, streaming, and internet culture.

• Highly active online, with an innate sense for memes, humor, and what content is shareable.

• Excellent written English skills and the capability to produce engaging content without a corporate tone or reliance on generic AI writing.

• Experience in fostering relationships and promoting participation within online communities.

• Proficient in Discord moderation, including bots, permissions, and social scheduling tools.

• Capable of creating basic graphics and editing short-form videos as needed.

• Sound judgment in managing public discussions, addressing frustrated players, and handling sensitive topics.

• Commercially savvy and able to look beyond follower counts and message volume.

• Organized, proactive, and accountable for consistent performance.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, early-stage company environment.
