SOC Analyst – Night Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate security alerts and incidents

• Investigate unusual activities and potential threats, determining their underlying causes

• Review logs from Windows and Linux systems, networks, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and databases

• Perform network traffic analysis utilizing Wireshark and TCPDump

• Assist in incident response following established protocols and procedures

• Document and log investigative findings

• Ensure a detailed and organized shift handover

• Utilize the MITRE ATT&CK framework to recognize and examine threats

• Aid in the ongoing enhancement of SOC processes and protocols

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed or ongoing higher education in Information Security, Cyber Defense, Computer Science, Networking, or related disciplines

• Familiarity with log analysis and security event evaluation in Windows and Linux systems

• Understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and traffic analysis

• Basic understanding of databases and audit log review

• Willingness to work a 12-on/36-off shift schedule, inclusive of night shifts

• Prior experience in a SOC, security monitoring, or incident response (preferred)

• Knowledge of or experience with Sophos solutions and cloud environments (preferred)

• Certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CyberOps Associate, Blue Team Level 1, OCI, AZ-900, or SC-900 (preferred)
