Soc Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Investigate security alerts generated by the Cynet platform to identify threats and assist in live incident response operations.

• Analyze potentially harmful programs and software utilizing appropriate tools to detect threats and categorize malware.

• Create detailed malware analysis reports.

• Recognize threats impacting global clients through advanced threat hunting services that enhance standard Security Operations Center offerings.

• Conduct analysis and forensics on security threats, malware, and real-world attacks using industry-standard platforms and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in incident response within a Security Operations Center or a similar cybersecurity organization.

• Practical experience in host and network digital forensics.

• Comprehensive knowledge of incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting methodologies.

• Proficiency in identifying the tactics, techniques, and procedures employed by threat actors.

• Familiarity with malware analysis processes.

• Capability to manage assignments within a team and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Practical experience with at least one programming language.

• Experience in monitoring EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions is a plus.

• 1+ years of technical experience in network, IT, or cybersecurity fields.

• Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including HTTP and DNS.

• Hands-on approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to comprehend and learn complex technological systems and pinpoint critical areas.

• Excellent analytical skills, innovative thinking, and a research-oriented mindset.

• Strong skills in presentations and training.

• Experience in utilizing security tools such as FW, IDS, SIEM, and endpoint protection systems.

• Background as an analyst within a Cyber SOC is advantageous.

• Experience in discovering and exploiting vulnerabilities is a plus.
