Soc Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Examine security alerts generated by the Cynet platform to identify threats and assist in real-time incident response activities.

• Evaluate suspicious applications and software utilizing appropriate tools to recognize threats and categorize malware.

• Generate comprehensive malware analysis reports.

• Detect threats impacting global clients through advanced threat hunting services that enhance standard Security Operations Center operations.

• Conduct analysis and forensics on security threats, malware, and active attacks using industry-standard tools and platforms.

• Provide contributions in the form of threat intelligence and malware analysis reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in incident response within a Security Operations Center or a similar cybersecurity organization.

• Practical experience with digital forensics for both hosts and networks.

• In-depth knowledge of incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting.

• Proficiency in recognizing tactics, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors.

• Understanding of malware analysis methodologies.

• Capability to coordinate tasks within a team and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Practical experience with at least one programming language.

• Familiarity with monitoring EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions is a plus.

• Over 1 year of technical experience in network, IT, or cybersecurity fields.

• Strong grasp of network architecture and protocols, including HTTP and DNS.

• Hands-on approach to resolving problems.

• Ability to comprehend and learn intricate technological systems while identifying critical areas.

• Excellent analytical skills coupled with creative thinking and a research-oriented mindset.

• Strong skills in presentation and training.

• Experience utilizing security tools such as firewalls, IDS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.

• Experience functioning as an analyst in a Cyber SOC is advantageous.

• Experience in exposing and exploiting vulnerabilities is beneficial.
