Soc Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Investigate security alerts generated by the Cynet platform to identify threats and assist with live incident response activities.

• Analyze suspicious programs and software utilizing appropriate tools to detect threats and categorize malware.

• Create detailed malware analysis reports.

• Recognize threats impacting global clients through advanced threat hunting services that enhance standard Security Operations Center offerings.

• Conduct analysis and forensics on security threats, malware, and real-world attacks using industry-standard tools and platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in incident response within a Security Operations Center or a similar cybersecurity organization.

• Practical experience with host and network digital forensics.

• Comprehensive knowledge of incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting.

• Proficiency in identifying tactics, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors.

• Familiarity with malware analysis methodologies.

• Capability to coordinate tasks within a team and convey findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Practical experience with at least one programming language.

• A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in network, IT, or cybersecurity fields.

• Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including HTTP and DNS.

• A hands-on approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to comprehend and learn complex technological systems and identify critical areas.

• Exceptional analytical skills, innovative thinking, analytical mindset, and research-focused orientation.

• Strong presentation and training abilities.

• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions.

• Familiarity with monitoring EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions is considered a plus.

• Previous experience as an analyst in a Cyber SOC is a plus.

• Experience in exposing and exploiting vulnerabilities is an advantage.
