SME Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance software applications that support critical operations in both classified and unclassified cloud environments.

• Create and implement solution strategies that align with business goals.

• Identify potential opportunities for the integration of AI across various domains.

• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, software engineers, systems engineers, analytics developers, product managers, AI/ML engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Convert mission requirements into innovative technical solutions.

• Facilitate technical design discussions and conduct peer code reviews.

• Contribute to decisions regarding software architecture.

• Diagnose complex software issues and enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Support CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps initiatives.

• Communicate findings, progress, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Supervise the deployment of applications into production environments.

• Investigate advancements in technology, innovative solutions, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with DoW PPBE data, systems, and processes.

• Expertise in data analytics and leading data-driven software engineering efforts.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.

• Understanding of big data technologies and platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Current DoD Secret clearance is required.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Experience with Qlik analytics tools.
