This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the entire process of SIU investigations from assignment to the delivery of the final work product.
• Provide briefings to investigators regarding assignments, case objectives, and investigative strategies.
• Create action plans that address client objectives effectively.
• Monitor case progress through comprehensive open-file reviews and timely follow-ups.
• Maintain an average case turnaround time of 21 days or fewer.
• Utilize databases and investigative tools to locate individuals and gather statements and evidence.
• Review recordings, statements, investigative notes, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and overall quality.
• Review and refine investigator timelines and prepare summaries for management.
• Finalize reports suitable for clients and ensure their delivery to the Account Manager within two days of case completion.
• Identify areas for improvement and guide investigators to enhance the quality of their work products.
• Manage and support a team of SIU Investigators effectively.
• Provide direction, coaching, performance feedback, and training to team members.
• Conduct talent assessments and identify recruiting and staffing needs.
• Monitor the performance of investigators and evaluate their development requirements.
• Communicate with clients and Account Managers regarding case status, findings, and recommendations.
• Ensure that investigations are in alignment with client requirements and company standards.
• Process client-ready invoices in accordance with case specifications and departmental budgets.
• Approve payroll, PTO, and expenses for investigators.
• Support departmental budget and productivity objectives through effective scheduling, quality outcomes, recommendations, and maximized invoicing.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Criminal Justice or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience overseeing claims investigations.
• Familiarity with auto liability, property/casualty, liability, disability, and workers' compensation claims investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple investigations and competing priorities effectively.
• Experience in managing and developing investigative personnel.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Adjuster’s license, FCLA, FCLS, or equivalent credential preferred.
• Monthly cell phone allowance of $150.
• Eligibility to participate in the SIU Manager Bonus Program based on the performance of the business unit and applicable 2026 bonus targets.
• Exempt classification; not eligible for overtime pay.
