Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – GCP, Platform and DevSecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the company's infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Manage environments utilizing Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, and other managed services

• Develop and enhance reusable Terraform modules

• Set standards for networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Service Accounts, and secrets management

• Implement least-privilege principles and ensure segregation between environments

• Create secure deployment processes between the pipeline and production

• Establish infrastructure and service observability through metrics, logs, and tracing

• Assist teams in defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), alerts, and capacity planning

• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and routine operational tasks

• Investigate incidents to identify and resolve recurring root causes

• Apply security measures for images, workloads, and cloud configurations

• Monitor platform expenditures, capacity, availability, and operational risks

• Document standards and guide teams on the secure utilization of infrastructure

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes

• Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code

• Understanding of IAM, Service Accounts, Workload Identity, and Secret Manager

• Knowledge of networking on GCP, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), firewalls, DNS, and load balancing

• Acquainted with Docker and managing containerized applications

• Experience in observability, monitoring, and incident management

• Knowledge of high availability, scalability, backups, and disaster recovery

• Proficient in automating tasks using Bash, Python, or Go

• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices in relation to infrastructure and runtime environments
