Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure along with CI/CD pipelines.

• Design, implement, and uphold infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform.

• Construct, maintain, and improve secure CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Implement and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure focusing on high availability, scalability, cost efficiency, and security compliance.

• Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.

• Manage infrastructure based on microservices.

• Execute production deployments with minimal downtime.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis for production incidents and establish preventive measures.

• Configure and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability through Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar tools.

• Collaborate with development, security, product, QA, and infrastructure teams.

• Handle incident response and manage vulnerability remediation.

• Ensure systems fulfill SLA/SLO targets and adhere to security policies, standards, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Strong proficiency with Terraform, AWS, and cloud architecture.

• A security-first mindset.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Experience in managing microservices-based infrastructure.

• Comprehensive understanding of monitoring, observability, and alerting with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar.

• Experience with incident management, Root Cause Analysis, and troubleshooting production issues.

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and security principles.

• Strong scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Experience with cloud cost optimization and resource management.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with SRE principles in a security-oriented product environment.

• Legal authorization to work in India without requiring employer sponsorship.
