Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available applications.

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving any issues.

• Implement and uphold cloud security best practices, including access controls, network configurations, and infrastructure protection.

• Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to enhance deployment processes, application performance, and operational efficiency.

• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks through scripting and DevOps tools.

• Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and apply preventive solutions.

• Support infrastructure scalability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity efforts.

• Optimize AWS resource utilization, performance, and infrastructure costs.

• Engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and initiatives focused on continuous improvement.

• Document infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in DevOps Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud infrastructure management.

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, or equivalent technologies.

• Solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.

• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar technologies.

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or ECS.

• Strong knowledge of Linux environments, system administration, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or comparable languages.

• Understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, access management, and infrastructure monitoring.

• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system availability and performance.

• Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.
