Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement code and scripts that improve the reliability and scalability of services within set parameters.

• Participate in regular code reviews and testing activities.

• Collaborate with team members to exchange knowledge, offer support, and drive continuous improvement.

• Take part in a routine on-call rotation during assigned shifts.

• Provide incident response and conduct postmortem processes to address and document operational challenges.

• Help resolve customer issues escalated from support teams.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) software and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, along with two (2) years of experience in the offered position or a related role, OR a Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.

• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Experience managing Linux-based systems in a public cloud environment.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Experience with containers on Linux.

• Ability to troubleshoot networking issues, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.

• Experience in writing and administering Ansible playbooks.

• Familiarity with observability tools.

• This telecommuting role can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
