This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with colleagues and interdepartmental partners to establish and uphold SRE practices within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Engage in system design reviews to pinpoint failure points, advocate for automation, and promote self-healing solutions.
• Take part in code reviews to guarantee efficiency, testability, and scalability.
• Involve yourself in incident management ceremonies to assess root causes and devise strategies to mitigate future occurrences, thereby minimizing downtime.
• Generate and maintain pertinent documentation related to systems and processes.
• BA/BS Degree.
• In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of additional experience will be necessary.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in IT administration, software engineering, or platform engineering, focusing on AWS cloud infrastructure and enterprise systems.
• At least one (1) year of experience deploying and managing enterprise cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tools, such as Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, GitLab, Artifactory, and Packer.
• Strong expertise in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and automation technologies, with a preference for Python.
• High proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems, including networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, capable of identifying solutions to complex issues and logically navigating challenging situations.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based systems, with knowledge of monitoring, logging, security, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of integrity and accountability.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Packer, Artifactory, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Experienced with CI/CD tools and GitLab.
• Knowledgeable in Source Control best practices.
• Skilled in scripting languages, such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must secure approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
• Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• Previous or current government contract experience is a plus.
