Salesforce DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and carry out Salesforce code deployments for various releases.

• Oversee, manage, and maintain all Salesforce environments and sandboxes within the CIBTD framework.

• Provide support and guidance to multiple application development teams on a federated Salesforce platform across multiple programs.

• Ensure code consistency, stability, and readiness for deployment across various Salesforce environments.

• Handle version control workflows and build configurations.

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing DevOps and automation tools.

• Integrate and support security code-scanning tools.

• Connect pipelines with automated test suites and initiate tests following each deployment.

• Automate manual deployment processes to enhance release efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.

• Take ownership of DevOps pipeline architecture and promote continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with both onsite and offshore engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6 to 8+ years of experience in Salesforce DevOps.

• Strong automation-oriented mindset along with experience in a large-scale Salesforce ecosystem.

• Familiarity with tools such as Copado, AutoRabit, or comparable options is preferred.

• Proven experience in leading Salesforce code deployments and managing Salesforce sandboxes.

• In-depth understanding of Git version control, including branching strategies, merging, and build configurations.

• Practical experience with Unlocked Packages, SFDX, Apex, Lightning, and Vlocity.

• Proficiency in advanced Git operations such as conflict resolution, cherry-picking, rebasing, and re-baselining.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of security code-scanning tools like Snyk, Checkmarx, ApexPMD, or SonarQube.

• Experience in integrating automated test suites into deployment pipelines.

• Certified as a Salesforce Platform Developer 1.

• Certification in a Salesforce DevOps product like Copado or AutoRabit is required.

• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is advantageous.

• Experience with Agentforce/Data Cloud deployment is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with large onsite and offshore engineering teams.
