Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform.

• Architect and enhance CI/CD pipelines for optimal performance.

• Collaborate with software engineers to facilitate application deployments and enhance operational workflows.

• Monitor, diagnose, and enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of production systems.

• Automate the processes of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.

• Implement and uphold cloud security, governance, and compliance protocols.

• Assist with disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity efforts.

• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Assess emerging cloud technologies and propose enhancements for the engineering platform.

• Contribute to decisions regarding cloud architecture, modernization, and migration.

• Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers through technical guidance, code evaluations, and coaching.

• Advocate for engineering best practices through thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.

• Act as a technical leader to establish standards, refine processes, and influence platform direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.

• Proficient experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.

• Significant experience in developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Familiarity with designing and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar programming languages.

• Experience with Git-based source control and automated deployment processes.

• Skilled in monitoring cloud applications and infrastructure via observability platforms.

• Robust understanding of networking, identity management, cloud security, and infrastructure architecture.

• Experience in troubleshooting production environments and enhancing operational reliability.

• Proven experience mentoring engineers, leading technical projects, and influencing engineering best practices without direct management authority.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Preferred: experience in cloud migration initiatives; familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration; knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; experience in regulated industries; expertise in cloud cost optimization and governance.

• Nice to have: capability to troubleshoot and make minor modifications to C# and TypeScript applications; experience in platform engineering or internal developer platforms; certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or related cloud technologies.
