Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design, reliability, and fortification of multi-cloud infrastructure spanning AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.

• Oversee network security architecture, including the configuration of egress proxies, traffic segmentation, and outbound controls.

• Manage Cloudflare DNS, WAF, edge security, traffic routing, and the Zuplo API gateway layer.

• Operate and secure Tailscale as the zero trust network access layer.

• Manage production GKE Kubernetes with a focus on cluster hardening, network policy, and secure deployment patterns.

• Create Grafana observability for monitoring network and infrastructure health.

• Strengthen GitHub, GitLab, and ArgoCD CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

• Supervise on-call rotation and incident response, leading root cause analysis and implementing durable fixes.

• Recognize and automate manual infrastructure tasks to minimize toil.

• Serve as the technical liaison between security and platform engineering concerning network and cloud infrastructure issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in an SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering position, with practical experience managing production workloads across various cloud providers.

• Demonstrated expertise in SRE fundamentals: defining SLOs, quantifying toil, conducting blameless postmortems, and leveraging reliability data to guide engineering priorities.

• Strong, proven experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, encompassing VPCs, peering, firewall rules, and load balancing.

• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.

• Solid background in network security, including egress control and proxy architecture.

• Hands-on experience with production Kubernetes, including Helm and GitOps deployment patterns using ArgoCD.

• Familiarity with Cloudflare or equivalent edge/CDN/WAF platforms and knowledge of API gateway technologies.

• Practical experience with Tailscale or another zero trust network access solution.

• Relevant on-call experience, including carrying a pager and leading postmortems.

• Strong scripting and automation skills in Go or Python.

• Ability to communicate effectively with security, compliance, and engineering stakeholders.

• Nice to have: experience with Kafka or streaming infrastructure, SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks, familiarity with Vanta or comparable GRC platforms, background in fintech/crypto or regulated industries, knowledge of Temporal or similar workflow orchestration, and exposure to HashiCorp Vault.
