Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate AI as a fundamental component of everyday engineering tasks, including coding, operations, incident response, and documentation.

• Develop and oversee shared AI infrastructure, which encompasses model access and governance, LLM observability and evaluations, as well as AI features that enhance platform reliability, security, and incident management.

• Set up AWS infrastructure managed by Terraform for a sizeable multi-service monorepo.

• Manage production workloads utilizing Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS.

• Oversee the package supply chain, which includes artifact registries, distribution of dependencies, provenance, and registry migrations.

• Construct and refine CI/CD pipelines along with deployment tools.

• Promote cloud cost efficiency through cost attribution, decision-making on commitments, and rightsizing initiatives.

• Manage identity and access controls, which include SSO, IAM policies, and access audits.

• Create and maintain observability systems, including OpenTelemetry pipelines, dashboards, and monitoring tools.

• Engage in the on-call rotation, addressing alerts and leading incident management efforts.

• Collaborate with engineers throughout the organization to scale a burgeoning SaaS business, support multi-tenant workloads, and balance aspects of reliability, performance, and cost.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Extensive knowledge of AWS and Terraform.

• Experience in operating both ECS and EKS in production environments.

• Proficient in deploying services using Helm and continuous delivery tools such as Spinnaker or ArgoCD.

• Well-versed in OpenTelemetry collectors and their pipelines.

• Familiarity with IAM, SSO, and access auditing practices.

• Strong scripting abilities for automation and troubleshooting tasks.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new services and spearhead their technical implementation.

• Experience in developing and maintaining internal tools or services that integrate AI models in production, including managed model platforms.

• Exposure to compliance and audit standards.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
