This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Assist in the creation and execution of the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP).
• Oversee project-level QA/QC processes in alignment with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Aid in the formulation of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Uphold company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
• Perform inspections and conduct internal, process, and documentation audits across civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities.
• Record findings and ensure that corrective actions are executed.
• Identify, report, and manage issues of nonconformance and quality deficiencies.
• Lead root cause analysis and devise corrective and preventive action plans.
• Organize and maintain QA/QC documentation while generating quality metrics reports.
• Utilize SOLV Energy’s proprietary Sunscreen quality inspection software.
• Review subcontractor QA plans and audit subcontractor performance.
• Confirm that materials and equipment conform to specifications.
• Facilitate lessons-learned meetings and offer feedback to engineering and procurement teams.
• Conduct post-construction reviews and incorporate lessons learned into the training repository.
• Ensure that site activities adhere to contracts, manufacturer instructions, codes, and regulations.
• Manage quality inspection teams and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale solar quality management.
• Extensive knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic systems.
• Familiarity with civil construction as well as electrical and mechanical codes.
• Understanding of QA/QC methodologies.
• Quality management certifications such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with project management software such as Procore or Primavera P6.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
