This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the MEP Project Manager in identifying and assessing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

• Create scopes of work for evaluation and approval.

• Develop the MEP project timeline in accordance with the overall construction schedule.

• Prepare estimates for MEP self-performed tasks and aid in the comprehensive project estimate.

• Coordinate and oversee all trades during the construction process.

• Select qualified bidders and negotiate final pricing.

• Prepare cost-to-complete reports, monthly billing, status updates, progress reports, material reports, and cost assessments.

• Review and coordinate current field sets of P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings.

• Estimate costs and draft changes and change orders for approval.

• Oversee and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up through to completion.

• Schedule subcontractor activities and monitor subcontractor productivity and installed quantities.

• Identify and procure necessary materials, equipment, tools, and supply sources.

• Set up and close out construction sites.

• Serve as the on-site Safety Officer in the absence of an assigned officer.

• Engage in the safety component of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) program.

• Guide supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures.

• Address workforce complaints and grievances with supervisory personnel.

• Adjust work schedules based on feedback and directives from the MEP Project Manager.

• Establish, communicate, implement, and uphold Gray’s safety and quality programs.

• Maintain the company QMS program and produce continuous improvement reports and traceability.

• Lead subordinate supervisors and support staff; conduct interviews, hire, train, assign tasks, direct work, appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve issues.

• Mentor newer team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, or at least 15 years of relevant construction experience with progressive responsibility in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in the light/heavy industrial sector is highly preferred.

• Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.

• Strong skills in people management.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones.

• Familiarity with MS Project and other scheduling software is a plus.

• Strong work ethic; energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, collaborative, and dedicated to professional development.

• Capability to think independently and manage tasks without direction.

• No visa sponsorship is available.

• Must be willing to travel to project sites across the United States and, in some instances, internationally.

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, talk, and hear.

• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.

• Accurate near and distant vision required.

• Ability to work in various conditions including wet/humid environments, with moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, heights, fumes/airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock hazards, explosives, vibrations, and moderate-to-loud noise levels.

• Overtime may be necessary.

• May supervise multiple subordinate supervisors and support staff.
