This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the MEP Project Manager in identifying and assessing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

• Create scopes of work for evaluation and approval.

• Assist in scheduling MEP projects within the broader construction timeline.

• Prepare estimates for self-performed MEP work and aid in comprehensive project cost estimates.

• Coordinate and oversee all trades during the construction process.

• Select qualified bidders and negotiate final pricing.

• Generate cost-to-complete assessments, monthly billing, and status updates.

• Review and synchronize P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings.

• Estimate costs and draft changes and change orders for consideration.

• Oversee and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to project completion.

• Schedule subcontractor tasks and monitor productivity and installed quantities.

• Identify needed materials, equipment, and tools, and secure supply sources.

• Set up and dismantle construction sites.

• Act as the on-site Safety Officer in the absence of an assigned individual.

• Engage in the company’s safety segment of the QMS program.

• Procure tools and materials for timely delivery in line with work schedules.

• Guide supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures.

• Coordinate construction phases to avoid delays.

• Address workforce complaints and grievances.

• Prepare or review progress, material usage, and cost reports; adjust schedules accordingly.

• Establish and uphold safety and quality standards.

• Implement and sustain the company QMS program.

• Generate reports and maintain traceability for ongoing improvement.

• Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s on-site safety program.

• Lead subordinate supervisors and support staff as necessary.

• Conduct interviews, hire, train, assign, and direct team members; evaluate performance and resolve issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution, along with a minimum of 10 years of construction experience, or 15 years of relevant construction experience with escalating responsibilities in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in the light/heavy industrial sector is highly preferred.

• Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.

• Strong people management skills.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones.

• Familiarity with MS Project and other scheduling software is an advantage.

• Strong work ethic with a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism.

• Capacity to work independently without ongoing supervision.

• Must be willing to travel to project sites across the United States and occasionally outside the U.S.

• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Must meet physical requirements, including frequent lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including wet/humid environments, around moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibrations, and moderate-to-loud noise.
