Site & Commissioning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure the secure, effective, and timely installation and commissioning of AutoStore systems at client locations.

• Serve as the on-site representative for Kardex, collaborating closely with the project team, clients, and suppliers.

• Merge site-management responsibilities with technical commissioning expertise.

• Prepare, organize, and oversee multiple installation sites.

• Coordinate material deliveries, monitor supplies, and uphold a clean and safe working environment.

• Lead daily progress updates and engage in meetings with customers and suppliers.

• Manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Kardex and customer standards.

• Configure AutoStore components, controllers, and IT/hardware systems.

• Oversee initial container storage and the system ramp-up process.

• Conduct component tests, system tests, performance assessments, and acceptance procedures.

• Assist in go-live activities and facilitate customer handover.

• Train customer operators and service staff.

• Provide on-site assistance during installation, commissioning, and initial operations.

• Contribute to the enhancement of processes, templates, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed training in an electrotechnical field (e.g., electrician, mechatronics technician, industrial electrician).

• A bachelor's degree is an advantage.

• Familiarity with AutoStore, CAN bus, PLC, and safety regulations is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and similar software.

• Extensive experience in site or project management of automation systems.

• Demonstrated success in delivering projects effectively.

• Background in construction-like project environments.

• Willingness to travel throughout the DACH region.

• Self-motivated, organized, and quality-oriented.

• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships across teams.
