Sign Language Video Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Conduct interpreting sessions effectively and in a professional manner.

• Follow ethical standards and procedural requirements specific to the interpreting context.

• Exhibit respect and understanding for our deaf and hard of hearing clients, their culture, and preferences.

• Possess a strong aptitude and enthusiasm for customer service and interpreting.

• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout all sessions.

• Accurately convey concepts and meanings in accordance with interpreter protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• The interpreter must have fluent skills in American Sign Language and spoken English.

• Demonstrate excellent listening and retention abilities to ensure a high level of accuracy during interpretations.

• Possess extensive knowledge of the RID Code of Professional Conduct.

• Must hold one of the following certifications: CI/CT, NAD IV or higher, NIC, or BEI national certifications.

• Ability to work in a HIPAA-compliant environment and setting.
