Si Photonics Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create SiPho components and devices utilizing commercial software tools such as Lumerical, COMSOL, FIMMPROP, etc., for advanced applications including PAM4, coherent pluggables, and co-packaged optics.

• Develop experimental designs and engage in the analysis of test data for EVT/DVT.

• Work in collaboration with other teams and external foundries to discover innovative solutions for cutting-edge photonic platforms.

• Partner with the global layout team to facilitate the smooth development of GDS layouts.

• Maintain close collaboration with SI/PI and packaging teams to ensure the reliable integration of PICs into final products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical disciplines.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial or academic experience in the design of photonic/electrical devices and components.

• Proficiency in photonic and optoelectronic devices.

• Familiarity with CMOS semiconductor and backend processes.

• Experience with design tools such as Lumerical, COMSOL, Fimmprop, etc.
