Senior Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the mechanical engineering implementation of medium to large-scale material handling and conveyor projects.

• Act as the main mechanical engineering technical expert for clients, project teams, vendors, and on-site staff.

• Assess project scope, customer requirements, system designs, and contract stipulations.

• Perform system design, 3D modeling, and constructability evaluations; address technical and installation challenges.

• Create and uphold engineering schedules that align with project milestones and installation deadlines.

• Supervise mechanical engineering outputs, change requests, material orders, and drawing approvals.

• Coordinate engineering efforts with Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Field Installation teams.

• Guide and support Project Engineers and designers through technical advice and mentorship.

• Examine engineering drawings to ensure quality, precision, and adherence to standards.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering quality, customer satisfaction, and project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• 6–10 years of experience in material handling or conveyor systems engineering.

• Proven experience in leading medium to large-scale engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of conveyor systems, mechanical design principles, and engineering standards.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.

• Capability to manage various priorities in a dynamic, schedule-driven environment.

• Approximately 10% domestic travel required based on project demands.
